Spring Market Recap!

We had a beautiful day for our first Market of the year on May 7th! With weeks of rain, wind and clouds, the sun was bright and hot for the market! It was an all around lucky day. Check out some of the lovely photos taken by local photographer and friend, Rachael Grace...
We had over 110 vendors selling their handmade and vintage wares for the day. Lots of folks seemed to be grabbing some great finds. It was also the day before Mother's Day so it was an especially "girly" day--lots of moms and daughters hanging around, enjoying the market.

Vendors brought in lots of fun "Springy" goods--fresh flowers, potted plants, felted birds, pretty colors...

And the food trucks showed up--Basic Kneads Pizza, Deluxe Street Food, and even the Food Network's Great Food Truck Race with the Seabirds Truck! We hear the Denver show is going to air in August. We'll keep you updated and we think the Horseshoe will get a cameo!

We also were graced with treats from Cake Bakery, mocktails from Hula Moon, and the Cozy Bean provided coffee. Yum. Nothing better than food, drink and shopping!

All in all, it was a great community day filled with friends, shopping, food and fun. Mark your calendars for our Summer Market on August 6th! We will have rotating vendors, a traveling letterpress truck from Portland (!), ice cream, and more fun surprises. Stay tuned! Thanks to all of you for your support of the Horseshoe! We can't wait to see you in a few months...

Market Sponsor Spotlight: Tomte. Modern Craft

We are so thrilled to have such great sponsors for our 2011 Market season: Fancy Tiger Crafts, Tomte. Modern Craft and the Green Wish Foundation.

Today, we are excited to feature Tomte. Modern Craft! Tomte has recently moved into the Berkeley neighborhood, and is right down the street from the Horseshoe! On market day, May 7th, stop by Tomte before or after the market--they'll have a "Build Your Own Terrarium" station set up in their shop from 10 am- 2pm!

*****

Tomte's new space on 41st. It's beautiful and filled with great stuff!

If you're not familiar with Tomte. Modern Craft, we are a little boutique that features handmade goods. We are also the local outlet for our line of clothing and house wares, Vital Industries.

Since last fall’s Horseshoe Market, Tomte and Vital Industries are excited to relocate to the Berkeley neighborhood. We have been lucky enough to combine Vital’s studio with Tomte’s storefront into one space. This enables our customers to see where our products are made and enables our team to be much more creative. We also love the energy at Tennyson’s First Friday Art Walk. Overall, it’s a great fit and we are looking forward to being involved in the neighborhood’s future growth.

Come check us out and as an added bonus the day of the market, Tomte will have our Build Your Own Terrarium Station up and running. The station will run 10-2pm at our store at 4335 W 41st Avenue.
